Volunteers

Volunteers play a vital role at Serenity Farm! With approximately 50 volunteers giving freely of their time and efforts, we are able to offer programming to our community through several avenues. An application process applies to all volunteers by requesting an application from the Serenity Farm Office: 419-833-1308 or click here to download and begin your application process.

Board of Trustees: Professional individuals make a 2 to 3 year commitment to serve on the non-profit board. Four positions hold an executive office, while the other members are responsible for an area of business. Board meetings are held monthly.

Lucky Rider Volunteers: Volunteers are carefully screened, trained and scheduled to work on teams to facilitate the riding program. Volunteers in this area must present good physical health, work in small teams, be comfortable around horses, and be punctual for each appointment. Horse and disability experience not a prerequisite.

Field Trip Volunteers: Volunteers in this program are normally educators by heart. With two hour increments, all year round, these dedicated volunteers sign up to assist in making Serenity Farm field trips unique in content, an experiential experience, and an unforgettable moment to our visitors.

Fund Raising Efforts: Volunteers in this area are asked to make a commitment to an event and follow it through to completion. Events are normally set a year in advance for excellent planning and successful execution of event.

We welcome volunteers into Serenity Farm to become part of a very friendly/family-like/faith based organization. Minimum age for volunteers is 18, however some exceptions may be made if parents are involved as well.
