Description: 2-day workshop for professionals. Utilizing equine assisted therapy along with the 12 Steps for success in treatment of addictive behaviors.
Objectives:
- How to effectively apply the EAGALA model of EAP to the 12-step AA model.
- Methods to help your clients move from hopelessness to success in their recovery.
- Facilitation skills you need in your team to confidently provide services to this challenging population.

Workshop Descriptions
Pencils to Hoof Picks
This program offers Equine Assisted Learning/Therapy as a treatment modality for students who are currently failing in school. Beginning with students age 9 and up to college levels, this program has been shared with success to students in Ohio, Virginia, California and South Africa.
Objectives:
- Identifying problem areas that prohibit learning
- Problem solving techniques
- Finding solutions to reach satisfactory goals.
- Identifying road blocks for failing grades to passing grades.
- Working weekly in the present. What is happening right now and how do we use it.
- “Unlocking” issues that may be holding students back from living a normal life
